Sailesh Mohan

Dr. Sailesh Mohan is currently a Professor at the Public Health Foundation of India and the Joint Director of the Centre for Chronic Conditions and Injuries (CCCI). He is involved in chronic non-communicable disease (NCD) research, teaching and training. He leads various NCD research projects focused on improving the quality of care and health system strengthening through implementation science research and leveraging m-health technology. He has also established two ongoing Urban-Rural cohorts comprising over 24000 participants, that will provide important information on the determinants of diabetes, hypertension and NCD risks in Indian population as well as serve as a platform to undertake other context specific high priority NCD related research in India. Dr. Mohan has been a temporary advisor/technical expert to the World Health Organization (WHO) on NCDs since 2011 and most recently served as an International Professional/Technical Officer.
