Dr Pilvikki Absetz (PhD) is a behavioral scientist and a leading expert in implementation of chronic disease prevention and self-management programs as well as lifestyle change programs for health promotion in different real world settings. After a 20-year research career at the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland, Pilvikki focuses on closing the gap between research and practice as a sole owner and CEO of Collaborative Care Systems Finland (CCSF), an SME specialized in research, consultancy and skill-building in health promotion and NCD prevention and control. Pilvikki also contributes to capacity building in implementation science especially in low- and middle-income countries through the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases.
