Kathleen Yin

Research Fellows

Dr Kathleen Yin is a member of the Consumer Informatics research stream at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, where she focuses her research on investigating the health-related work of those with chronic health conditions, as well as the contextual factors influencing such work. Personally, she has a keen interest in using serious games, defined as games used for purposes more than entertainment, to improve human health and reduce treatment burden. She is studying how serious games can be used as behavioural medicine and a tool for self-directed learning, and constantly engage with industry and end users to optimise the uptake of health apps and games.
