Jan Keller

Research Fellows

Jan works as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Division of Health Psychology at Freie Universität Berlin. His research aims to gain more insights about the role of social exchange processes and habit formation for health promotion. In several studies, most of them randomized controlled trials, he evaluated (digital) health behaviour change interventions in the context of physical activity, healthy nutrition, hygiene behaviours, and problematic smartphone use. Since 2015, he is involved in teaching and gives up to two seminars per semester. He was Visiting Scholar to Columbia University, New York City, in 2016 as well as to University of British Columbia, Vancouver, in 2017.

Jan is one of the directors of the Open Digital Health initiative that is led by Dom. Currently, he is setting up a program for developmental mentoring within the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) – a society for which he worked as treasurer since 2013.
