The conference is held every two or three years by the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) and hosts over 3000 delegates from around the world. The theme of this year’s Congress was “A World in Turmoil: Opportunities to Focus on the Public’s Health”. It reflected the global health community’s commitment to work together in and outside of our respective fields to promote health equity and build a more sustainable and just future. There was also a strong focus on digital public health with a Plenary session, “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health: Opportunities and Threats to Public Health”.
